Since this is being done with JMTE you have a wide range of possibilities using this feature. Post processingĪ new feature called post processing can be used to trigger external tools with data from your media library. We introduced a new plugin based model which allows other developers to create third party scrapers for tinyMediaManager. To avoid this we managed to negotiate a contract with TheTVDB to allow all PRO users to continue using this service without any additional subscription needed! Third party scrapers This means that our users would need to have a subscription at TheTVDB to get data from their service. TheTVDBįirst of all, you may have noticed that TheTVDB is closing their free API v3 (October 1, 2021) and changing to a subscription based model ( ). Your need is addressed without impacting the other users who do not have that need.TinyMediaManager v4.2 is a big release with several noteworthy changes. So yes you have a special need, but no it’s not the majority of the needs, long press have imdb so fit your needs, next version have back the missing google search on long press too. You do not need to have an imdb button each time you browse a show to select your next episode. When you are watching an episode if the imdb data is returned there’s a direct imdb button too. While many downloads all movies automatically most don’t do that for shows. The need is different between movies and shows. The actual solution would be that the show page would be a full description page, but that changes a lot the navigation flows and from the feedback I have seeing the full show description each time they go select their next episode to watch makes no sense. And yes currently there’s no full page show details so no adding an imdb search feature on a place where it does not belong is just an hack not an actual solution.
